About the Event
Community Helping Community, coordinated by Councilman Javis Gibbs in partnership with Albemarle Area United Way and the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce, brings local leaders and community members together to raise donations that benefit nonprofit organizations serving Pasquotank County.
This unique fundraiser features 17 community participants working to raise their $2,000 "bail money" goals. At the conclusion of the campaign, funds raised will be awarded to six randomly selected eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, helping strengthen services and programs throughout our community.
How It Works
From October 1 through November 14, 2026, participants will invite friends, family members, colleagues, and community supporters to contribute toward their individual fundraising pages. Every dollar raised helps increase the impact this campaign can make for local nonprofits.
