Every week, CCC works behind the scenes to support individuals and families facing temporary emergency crises. That work wouldn’t be possible without dedicated volunteers like Sarah, whose commitment plays an essential role in CCC’s daily operations.
Sarah volunteers in the office at least twice a week, providing reliable support that helps keep the intake process running smoothly. Her work focuses on assisting with intake-related tasks and ensuring information is handled with care, respect, and attention to detail — an important part of helping CCC serve the community effectively.
This kind of support requires patience, consistency, and a strong sense of responsibility. Sarah brings those qualities to every shift, contributing to a process designed to treat every request for assistance with dignity and professionalism.
Supporting CCC’s Mission
At the Community Care Collaborative (CCC), we believe that every dollar raised should go directly to those who need it most. Volunteers like Sarah help make this possible. By contributing their time and skills, volunteers help keep administrative costs low and allow CCC to focus resources on serving individuals and families across Northeastern North Carolina.
CCC serves as a local community impact program of the Albemarle Area United Way, helping meet human needs by providing assistance to people experiencing temporary emergency crises. The program works to close gaps among local resources while serving residents of Pasquotank, Camden, Gates, and Perquimans counties.
Sarah’s commitment supports this mission by strengthening the systems that allow CCC to operate efficiently and responsibly.
Recognizing Sarah’s Outstanding Service
In recognition of her dedication and dependable service, Sarah was honored with the High Performer (HP) Award at the Albemarle Area United Way Annual Kick-off Luncheon on August 21, 2025.
This award recognizes volunteers who demonstrate compassion, consistency, and outstanding service. Sarah’s steady involvement and commitment to supporting CCC’s work make her a true example of what it means to serve with heart.

Why Volunteers Matter
Volunteers are the backbone of CCC. Their contributions help ensure that intake processes, administrative tasks, and program oversight are handled effectively, allowing CCC to serve the community with integrity and care.
Sarah’s service is a reminder that meaningful impact often happens behind the scenes. Showing up consistently and dedicating time to support essential operations makes a lasting difference for both the organization and the community it serves.
Serving with Heart
Sarah’s dedication reflects the values that guide CCC’s work — responsibility, compassion, and respect for those seeking help. Her commitment strengthens CCC’s mission and supports the broader efforts of the Albemarle Area United Way to meet critical needs in our region.
