AAUW also welcomes Alexandra Lekki as the new Community Care Collaborative Manager, where she will lead efforts to support neighbors in need and strengthen community impact through collaboration and compassion.

Recognized for nearly four decades of service to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, Hopeline continues to provide critical support during challenging times. The event also highlighted the impact of the Community Care Collaborative, which helps local families overcome temporary crises and achieve long-term stability.

Albemarle Area United Way’s COVID-19 Response & Recovery Fund provides critical support to residents across Northeast North Carolina facing challenges during times of crisis. Donations help fund essential needs such as food, housing assistance, childcare, hygiene supplies, and emergency services. Since its launch, the fund has distributed more than $42,000 to local nonprofits and community organizations serving vulnerable individuals and families.
