Special $25k Grant Announced
Albemarle Area United Way has launched a special $25,000 grant to support innovative solutions addressing homelessness among adults age 65 and older in Northeast North Carolina. Eligible 501(c)(3) organizations are invited to submit a Letter of Intent by October 4, 2024. The initiative aims to spark collaboration, new ideas, and lasting impact for one of the region’s most vulnerable populations.

Hurricane Relief Fund
When disaster strikes, Albemarle Area United Way is here to help our neighbors recover. By donating to the Hurricane Relief Fund, you help provide critical resources such as food, water, clothing, home repairs, tree removal, and long-term recovery support for residents across Northeast North Carolina. Every dollar donated goes directly toward helping local families rebuild and recover.

Investing nearly $1 million in our community!
Albemarle Area United Way is proud to invest $921,712 across its nine-county service area, supporting programs and initiatives that strengthen local communities. Announced at the organization’s annual luncheon, this milestone reflects the generosity of donors and the dedication of AAUW’s Board of Directors. Founded in 1957, AAUW celebrated a record-breaking year in 2023, expanding its impact throughout the region.
